I really doubt that they would ban an IP considering many IP's are dynamically assigned and change every time you log on. More likely they would ban a credit card. I've heard people say "yeah, they banned my credit card" and others say no. Personally, I bought another account when I was on a 72 hour suspension. It worked fine, but I was also using a different credit card. If you've got two different credit cards, you'll be fine.

Go to Help - Rogue Bots -> Help *Whatever Bot You Want To Run* -> Each bot index should have an "Announcement" for macro sheet. If you're looking for a fishing bot, I suggest you try Iocaine, you can find it on this site under Hacks -> Tested/Working. It takes more set up, but its much more stable than the Rogue Bot.

As zanmoto said, the speed hacks are very dangerous. SE seems to have locked down on anyone that uses a position or flee/speed tool. I'm pretty sure they have automatic checks on the server now that makes sure you're not moving too fast. Since Argus withOUT warping is still just a passive hack (doesn't write any data that I am aware of) the servers can't "automatically" detect that you're using it. However, if you're using it in highly camped areas, I'm sure GM's keep an eye on whose doing what and might catch someone using it a lot. I still rely on the good ole Iocaine to make money. I realize that AH prices for fish went in the to...

Hmm...I wonder how they detected .dat swapping. I'm not very familiar with it, but from what I uderstand you're just replacing files. Maybe they do a FFXI file level check sum when they do version updates? I'm curious....

I don't know about the Xcraft bot (I've never used it) but if you search the Hacks -> Untested forum for Mog's Workshop, you can add recipes there. That's what I use for all of my cooking and ranger ammo needs [img]{SMILIES_PATH}/PDT_06.gif" alt="/bling" title="Bling Smile" />

One of the biggest problems with Farming or Leveling bots is getting them to navigate the terrain properly (without getting stuck on trees or rocks, etc). The farming bot that Zamph was talking about is posted somewhere on this site, but it doesn't walk around very much to find more mobs because it doesn't know how. I don't know if ffact is fixed either. It wouldn't be too hard to convert that script from using ffact to just using mem reads in actools, but again, it still needs a navigation bot built in. I'm working on one now and I'm pretty close to getting it working. My plan is, once I have the nav bot working, I'll build it into something...

Yes, you still need to pay SE with a CLEAN account to be able to access the private server. You need to log on to SE's server first and then you activate the private session which basically redirects the packets to/from SE's servers back to the private one. I'm pretty sure that no one wants to emulate the POL log on interface because SE would crack down on them with a vengence if they started costing them money.

I've got a wireless mouse for my laptop that isn't that great. It's a Targus. Every few minutes the reciever picks up a "scroll down" and my screen moves even though I didn't use the wheel. The mouse doesn't even have to be turned on, it still has issues. I would stear clear of getting a Targus, just in my experience.

I don't know how many people in total are having this issue, but since there is not a wide spread complaint, I can only assume that the number is small. I've never had this problem. I really doubt that SE is scanning for anything on the client side and if they did it wouldn't show up as a video problem. They would problably just take a look at your open processes or something like that. And honestly, if they started banning people for windower I think that they would be losing about half of their player base. I just don't see it happening. Obviously that's just my opinion. The problem you're having itself looks more like a problem between Bur...

Zanmoto, FW is firmware (sorry bout that). Firmware is how your PC talks to your video card on a hardware level. Basically, firmware and software are the only ways that you can actually change the performance of your video card. You can try changing one or both. I can't say exactly how to do that for your card as I don't have the same one and it may be different. What I would do is go to the manufacturer's site for your card (I don't know if Nvidia actually makes cards, normally its a company that uses Nvidia's chip like XFX or Asus or someone else). Once you find out what card you have, go to their site and find the support or downloads link...

Anyone busted for botting yet?

I'm just curious as to if anyone has been busted for botting since the March 7th update? I read prior to the update that SE was going to be making it more difficult for automatic fishers. Then I log on tonight to find that my secluded, quiet little fishing spot, where I've never seen more than one other person at, is packed with 15 bots. I fished for 5 minutes before the zone was "fished up" (ie, 10 "you didn't catch anything" between catches). So I'm wodering if the botting hot spots (Batilla, Qufim, etc) are getting hit by GM's? Comments anyone?

I'm curious as to what you mean? Is there some plan to make FFXI on PC windowable that I don't know about? Can you point us to a legitimate link?

There was a post recently that gave a detailed explanation of what you are asking about and where to find answers, but it has apparently been deleted. Bottom line was that SE had read forums on Allakhazam that people were being worried and confused about client side process monitoring (SE looking at what you are running). It was reported that SE came out with a public response to this stating that they do NOT do any client side monitoring. The statement had more information, but that was the most of it. I have not been able to find the statement from SE, but I believe that it is accurate. Another point that was brought out in that thread (tha...

Even IF (so far everything is based on a single forum post from what I can tell) SE comes out with a windowed version, they're not going to release any accounts regardless of what they were banned for. Even after SE comes out with their own windower, the other windowers will still be against the user agreement. The other windowers have built in functions and plug-ins that give their users an advantage over any SE windower. So..... don't hold your breath.

Do you have any links as to where you found this info about the new mobs? It sounds like a logical deterrant from SE, so I'm curious as to the validity of it. Even if this is so, we'll come up with something to get around the problem, don't worry about that. [img]{SMILIES_PATH}/PDT_19.gif" alt="/;)" title="Wink" />
