I played it when it first came out, bought it and everything. I'm sure the population has grown since I was there, but that was one of my main problems with it, I couldnt' find a group. I went from 1-24 without ever being with another person. To me the best reason to play an MMO is for the other people. But other than that the game was awsome. GREAT graphics, though I didn't like the way they did the class system, wasn't like the first. Money was hard to come by, and spells were expensive, almost all are crafted. Crafting is hard. But like I said.. graphics are awsome.

The way NPC works: NPC reads the memory of FFXI and makes a log of every NPC that's running through your memory. The only NPCs in your memory are the ones around you. Let me try to explain. Lets say your in South Gustaburg camping lizzy and you're standing at the very top of the hill. You hit start on NPC and a bunch of lizzards, quadavs, vultures and maybe one or two Leaping Lizzy will show up on NPC. Now everything that has just came up will STAY there, they will never leave until you hit stop. Now you start running around down towards the bottom. I have a question for you guys. Did anyone who was banned in the mass banning besides me, visit the undersea ruins before they were opened? I know I did it, and I was thinking this might have been how they cought me, cuz I've never had a GM called on me.
