I keep Iocaine working, but there's very rarely any new development. That's one reason there's no activity. There's also just not that many users anymore as most people have moved on.

I went to update my hardware and, as always, it didn't go to plan. Hopefully I'll be back up and running in the next 24 hours and no one will really be impacted.

Update: Things still aren't going well. I have the worst luck with Norton Ghost...

Another member sent me this which works for me in Windows 7 Pro. No idea about other versions. The problem is that Windower auto-updates your Hook.dll every time you launch and the current version breaks windowerhelper.dll. So you have to go back to the old version and prevent it from updating. If you have access to the previous version (before ~4/26/17), copy that into your current windower folder. Then open C:\windows\system32\drivers\env\hosts with notepad and add these lines at the bottom: 127.0.0.1 resources.windower.net 127.0.0.1 update.windower.net Save it. When you launch Windower it should fail to udpate and overwrite your Hook.dll (...

It's Windower related. If your FFXI window is in focus it works, if not, you get the behavior you described. There's some info in it here:

Since they rolled out the "updated" hook to everyone, it breaks everyone, even if you're on Windows 7. There's suggestions on the thread as to how to work around it. I haven't tried any of them for lack of time.

Due to an update in Windows 10 (thank you Microsoft) our beloved Windower has had to push an update. At this time the update has somewhat broken Iocaine. Key injection only appears to work when your FFXI window is in focus. This will break anything that uses key injection which includes almost everything. The maps, alert, position, and WMS should still work.

I'll post more as I find out. Anyone else is more than welcome to post any updates/work-arounds as well.

You have to sign into the forums to view it iirc.

There may be others as well, but this is what I use. It proc's dynamis mobs very nicely, but it doesn't go from camp to camp, so it would match up with what you're seeing.
I doubt you can disable them. I know how frustrating it is when people go all-in on something like dynamis and just rake in tons of gil. My experience/advice is, you can't beat em, just join em.

It doesn't work at the packet level like Windower does, it's all just memory based. If you're interested in that sorta thing it might be a good place to start. Let me know if you have questions.

The new service is set up and running (new hardware, net IP, etc). I'm hoping that simply running the updater will fix any problems that people have.

Steps to try if you cannot connect for some time:
1. Run the updater (Iocaine2.exe).
2. If that doesn't work, download the new updater from the Download thread https://forum.ffxiscripting.com/viewtopi ... 267&t=5408.
3. If that still doesn't work, create a thread in this section and I'll get on it.

Later today the IP of the server is probably going to change (my service is being upgraded). For some reason (which I can't remember), the IP is hard coded into the code. Which means that when the IP changes, the auto-update will also break.

So you'll have to download the new code from the site (once I fix the new address).

Once things are settled, I'll spend some time making sure this goes easier in the future. For now, please bear with me.

Edit 7/30: Ok, it didn't happen today (AT&T is run by Satan and his demons). Will update when I know more.

Doing a little maintenance. If you're using the Beta version of Iocaine you shouldn't notice any difference.
