Final Fantasy Config problem ?

I reinstalled vista and download ffx on to it but now when i wanna go to my final fantasy config to change the graphic resolution and the graphic quality it keeps giving me a error anyway to get this to work ?
PS. making it compatible with windows xp service pack 2 dosent work alrdy tried it and i tried reinstalling ffx 2 times alrdy and nothing worked

actually was wondering if anybody could copy and upload their ffx config file maybe mine is faulty or maybe a diffrent one would work so if anybody could upload one would be appreciated.

what kind of card you are using? maybe you could try running vista in classic mode and seeing if ffxi works

i got it fixed it was that i needed to fully update ffx ow it works and using 8800 gts so it wouldn't have been graphic card
