Ummm Square is a japanese company too not just enix. Also Squaresoft technically still runs the company since their President assumed the presidents office with the new company. lol Not that it makes any difference in the service being shitty lol

The orginal maker Of ffxi 1 was american in case you dont know the story.

the first ffxi failed after failing the Maker borrowed money from his parents to release FFXI 2 and Made his money from that title.
